1. Acceptance of Terms

By applying to, enrolling in, or attending any course or program at PMAL Training Academy, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and PMAL Training Academy.

1.1 Agreement

Your application, enrollment, and continued attendance at PMAL Training Academy constitute your acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not apply for or attend any of our programs.

2. Enrollment and Admission

2.1 Application Process

All applications are subject to review and approval by our admissions committee. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into any program.

2.2 Entry Requirements

Students must meet the minimum entry requirements for their chosen program, which may include:

  • Minimum educational qualifications (e.g., Grade 12 certificate or equivalent)
  • Relevant work experience (where applicable)
  • Successful completion of entrance assessments or interviews
  • Submission of all required documentation

2.3 Age Requirement

Students must be at least 16 years of age to enroll in our programs. Students under 18 require parental or guardian consent.

3. Fees and Payment

3.1 Fee Structure

All course fees are as published on our website and in our prospectus. PMAL Training Academy reserves the right to adjust fees with reasonable notice.

3.2 Payment Terms

  • Registration fees are payable upon application
  • Course fees must be paid according to the selected payment plan
  • Late payments may result in additional charges or suspension from classes
  • Outstanding fees may prevent students from receiving certificates or transcripts

3.3 Refund Policy

Refunds are granted according to the following conditions:

  • 100% refund if cancellation occurs more than 14 days before course commencement
  • 50% refund if cancellation occurs 7-14 days before course commencement
  • No refund for cancellations less than 7 days before course commencement
  • No refund after course commencement

4. Academic Policies

4.1 Attendance

Regular attendance is mandatory for all courses. Minimum attendance requirements vary by program but typically require at least 80% attendance for certification.

4.2 Assessment and Grading

Students must complete all required assessments, projects, and examinations. Grading is based on the assessment criteria provided at the start of each course.

4.3 Code of Conduct

Students are expected to maintain professional conduct at all times, including:

  • Respect for staff, fellow students, and property
  • Adherence to safety protocols in workshops and laboratories
  • Academic integrity and avoidance of plagiarism
  • Compliance with all academy rules and regulations

5. Certification

5.1 Award of Certificates

Certificates are awarded to students who successfully complete all course requirements, including:

  • Satisfactory attendance record
  • Successful completion of all assessments
  • Payment of all outstanding fees
  • Return of all academy property

5.2 Certificate Replacement

Replacement certificates may be issued upon request for a fee. Original certificates remain the property of PMAL Training Academy until all obligations are met.

6. Liability and Insurance

6.1 Personal Property

PMAL Training Academy is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property brought onto academy premises.

6.2 Personal Injury

While PMAL Training Academy maintains appropriate safety measures, students participate in practical training at their own risk. Students are encouraged to obtain personal accident insurance.

6.3 Limitation of Liability

PMAL Training Academy's liability is limited to the value of course fees paid. The academy is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Academy Materials

All course materials, including but not limited to textbooks, manuals, presentations, and online content, are the intellectual property of PMAL Training Academy and may not be reproduced without permission.

7.2 Student Work

Students retain ownership of work they create, but grant PMAL Training Academy a license to use such work for educational and promotional purposes.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

PMAL Training Academy collects and processes personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. By accepting these terms, you consent to such processing.

9. Termination and Suspension

9.1 By the Academy

PMAL Training Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate a student's enrollment for:

  • Non-payment of fees
  • Violation of the code of conduct
  • Academic dishonesty
  • Behavior that endangers others or disrupts the learning environment

9.2 By the Student

Students may withdraw from programs by providing written notice. Refunds will be processed according to our refund policy.

10. Changes to Terms

PMAL Training Academy reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued enrollment after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

Important Notice

These Terms and Conditions represent the complete agreement between you and PMAL Training Academy. They supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations. If any provision is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
